Development of performance evaluation scale for sales personnel and examination of psychometric properties

The purpose of this study is to develop a performance evaluation scale that can be used to measure the job performance of sales personnel working in stores and to examine the psychometric properties of the developed scale. The working group of the research consists of 200 sales personnel. Exploratory factor analysis was performed for the construct validity of the scale. According to the result of the exploratory factor analysis, the scale consists of 31 items and two sub-dimensions: "Knowledge, Skills and Personal Traits for Sales" and "Adaptation to the Workplace". The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was found to be .96, and the test-retest reliability coefficient was found to be .88. The total variance explained by the two factors is 50.36%. Cronbach's alpha and test-retest reliability of the scale and its sub-dimensions were examined and no significant change was observed between the values ??found in the first analysis. Based on these findings, the performance evaluation scale developed; The server was reached that it is a valid and reliable psychometric tool that can be used to measure the performance of sales personnel
