In this study, it is aimed to examine teachers' character traits, behaviors, basic problems and suggestions regarding the concept of classroom management from the perspective of class heads at the second level of primary education. The sample of the study consists of 30 students who are class heads in the primary schools in the province of Afyonkarahisar in the 2010-2011 academic year. A written interview form consisting of 4 open-ended questions was used in the study. Descriptive analysis approach was used to determine students' views. The categories were created by the researcher by comparing the similarities and differences between the statements of the class heads in the sample. At the end of the study, teacher characteristics, character traits, which are considered important for effective classroom management, approach to the lesson and communication with the student. It is seen that the students taking part in the study expect behaviors appropriate to preventive, developmental, holistic and reactive approaches from teachers. In addition, the most common problems faced by teachers in terms of students are student differences, ready teachers and national exams. In addition, the students made suggestions to the teachers in the teaching of the lesson, outside of the lesson and in cooperation with families.
