Gani ARSLAN [1] , Gülay ASLAN [2]

The aim of this study is to determine the burnout experienced by teachers working with mentally disabled individuals according to some variables and to discuss the state of burnout in the context of the right to education of individuals with mental disabilities. The data in the study were collected using the "Maslach Burnout Scale". The data were obtained from 83 teachers working in 5 public private education application centers and business application centers in Tokat provinces and districts. Regarding the scores obtained from the Maslach Burnout Scale, the Mann-Whitney U test was used for paired groups, and the Kruskal Wallis H test was used for three or more groups, which is one of the nonparametric tests to evaluate whether there is a differentiation depending on the demographic variables of teachers working with mentally disabled individuals in terms of burnout subscale scores.
