Opinions of Ankara province public primary and secondary school administrators regarding the restructuring of the Ministry of National Education with the decree numbered 652

In this study, it was aimed to determine the opinions of the public primary and secondary school administrators in the central districts of Ankara on the restructuring of the Ministry of National Education (MEB) with the Decree Law No. 652. The research in the scanning model was carried out with the "mixed research" design in which quantitative and qualitative methods were used together. 276 school administrators were included in the quantitative dimension of the study, and 11 school administrators were interviewed in the qualitative dimension. According to the results of the quantitative dimension of the research; It was observed that the decree numbered 652 was in conformity with the aims and policies of the Ministry of Education and the graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences-Faculty of Law followed this successively, followed by the graduates of the other faculties, the Faculty of Education / Educational Sciences and finally the graduates of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It was concluded that primary school administrators thought more positively about the realization of the goals and policies of the Ministry of National Education, according to the decree numbered 652, compared to middle school administrators. Of the qualitative dimension findings of the research; - It has been concluded that performing performance evaluation in the evaluation of services is appropriate provided that the performance criteria are clear and objective evaluation is made, that the public is not sufficiently informed about the structuring stipulated by the Decree Law, that public officials from outside the field should not be employed in the upper management and audit units of education and training services.
