The main objective of this study in order to demonstrate their awareness of the environmental education of primary school teachers' perceptions about the environmental pollution, to put forward their ideas for solving the views and environmental problems of environmental non-governmental organizations also aimed to evaluate the activities of non-governmental organizations concerned with the environment in Turkey. The study was conducted with 37 students who were selected randomly on a voluntary basis in the Primary Education Class, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies teaching program of Siirt University Faculty of Education in the spring semester of the 2010-2011 academic year and were studying in the last year. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. In the results of working, It is striking that while teacher candidates have sufficient knowledge about the duties of non-governmental organizations related to the environment, they do not know some of them. This situation also reveals that although non-governmental organizations include activities for environmental education, they do not achieve their national goals.
