The aim of this study is to make a conceptual analysis about the place and importance of riddles in education. For this purpose, the contribution of riddles, which are among the oral literature products, to the linguistic and intellectual development of the child by enriching the linguistic material in education has been tried to be emphasized. In this context, it is the subject of the study that riddles improve the vocabulary of the individual and encourage them to think. The changing structure of education, the individual; It leads to asking, questioning and researching. Therefore, the richness and multidimensionality of educational materials serve the changing structure of education.
