With the advancing technology and changing living conditions, art has also changed, and it has begun to appear in different forms by using new techniques, new materials and new tools. In this process of change, it is seen that the thoughts that cause the formation of art have changed radically. Now, the aesthetic concerns of the past have been replaced by completely different pursuits and goals. While the invention of the computer was almost the beginning of a new age, it opened the doors of various possibilities to the artists, and the technical limitations between thought and work were eliminated. Many technological elements such as computers, video, light, and sound have taken place alone or together in the expressions of the artists. Technology has provided the artist with new forms of expression and tools, as well as the mentality of himself and his audience, it completely changed his perception and searches. teacher training institutions in Turkey, discussed the art education programs at the undergraduate level when it is observed that these new underrated art form. Today, a student who goes to the Museum of Modern Art encounters video art, installations, digital prints, where digital technologies are frequently used, and does not know how to evaluate many of them. Based on this, this article aims to examine the art education program and the course contents of visual arts teachers, who act as a bridge between art and society, during their undergraduate education, and to make an assessment on whether the current program is sufficient to gain the ability to understand, criticize and convey to students the 21st century art.
