Evaluation of Credibility and Argumentation of Online Sources

Abstract

Jack DAVIES*

The study for Evaluation of credibility and argumentation is investigated on secondary school student’s skills in online learning of content in a blog text and a YouTube video. Both sources are concerned about a child’s learning ability on the blog text opposing and the YouTube video supporting it. Some students discussed their experiences to each source as credible, fairly credible, or non-credible, justified their ratings, and analyzed the argumentation of both sources. However, the reasoning of the content is not a concern that is covered in these approaches. Critical thinking is considered an increasingly important 21st century study place skill.
